Vie at Home

My boss Melanie has just become a consultant for Vie at Home.
She is the only one on the Island at the moment.

She offers one to one consultations on make up and beauty products as well as hold Vie at home parties.

I have her details on my website if anyone wants to contact her.

Living on the Isle of Man and running my business

I have found it difficult of late sourcing items for my customers which is good quality but low in price. I have now found a good website which can provide me with this, but postage is a problem, living on and Island where they seem to hike up the price because we live in the middle of the sea. Sometimes very unfair.

I suppose I am lucky where I can get my items delivered to my in laws on the mainland, but obviously I won't be able to get straight away as we don't get over enough as we like! Again another pricing issue.

Again another disadvantage is the lack of bigger shops where I could get my items from. Again something I can do when I go to the UK, but not always possible.

I find ebay a god send, along with my new contact of this website and I can always find what my customers want. However I do find it frustrating living on such a small Island.

Busy Busy Busy

Well its been a bsuy couple of weeks. I now have 4 clients on my books which I am working on.
The first wedding which is coming up is on the 15th November. Even though I am only hiring out some napkins and table number holders, its been good working with the bride to be.

I have also been sourcing table centres, and vases for a sweet table which one of my clients would like. It's all been exciting stuff. I can't wait to see it when its all set up (by my own fair hands).

Also working on doing a bit more advertising. We are currently on a few places, like Manx.net and Manxads, along with Wedding Planner and Free Index and Ebay. I have also get up a group and fan page on facebook which seems to be doing well.

Planning on getting a brouchure together and a price list and then try and get into the next wedding fair, whenever that maybe.
